Bureau of Economic Analysis – Personal Income Increases in July

According to the August 30th 8:30 A.M. 2012 release by the Bureau of Economic Analysis, personal income increased $42.3 billion or .3% in July 2012.

The bureau further reported that DPI, Disposable Personal Income increased $39.9 billion, or .3% in July.    PCE, Personal Consumption Expenditures increased $46 billion, or .4%.

Previously, in June, personal income had increased $46.1 billion, or .3%.   DPI increased $37.4 billion,  or .3%, disposable personal income had increased $37.4 billion, or .3%, and PCE increased $3.5 billion, or less than .1%.

Wages and Salaries – Private wage and salary disbursements increase $16.1 billion in July, which compares with an increase of $28.5 billion in June.    Goods producing industry payrolls increased $5.5 billion, compared with an increase of $7.1 billion overall.

Other personal income – supplements to wages and salaries increased $4.3 billion in July 2012, compared with $4.1 billion in June.
