According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics report dated Friday, July 20th, 2012, the region of the country which continues to have the highest regional unemployment rate in the country in June at 9.4%.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics further reported that the Midwest reported the lowest regional unemployment rate at 7.4%. Only the Northeast experienced a statistically significant rate change with a .2% over the year increase. Among the 9 geographic divisions, the Pacific continued to report the highest jobless rate, at 10% in June. The West North Central registered the lowest rate at 5.7%. Only the Mid Atlantic reported a statistically significant over the month unemployment rate change at .2% increase.
